The 2013 Bergfeld Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet in color, with a candied, high-tone aromatic nose with accents of cocoa powder, violets, blue fruit, super ripe plum, and baking spices. The palate is powerful and opulent, showcasing strength and grip from tannins. Reverberating with allspice, cinnamon, clove and violets with a lengthy finish.
Our “Bergfeld” St. Helena vineyard is 100% estate fruit, planted in light gravelly alluvial soils strewn across an ancient creek bed. The well-drained soils and warm growing conditions produce wines of immense power. The unique nature of this site ensures low vine vigor, small crops and intensely concentrated berries with balanced acidity.
