Wine Enthusiast, Virginie Boone
This is an impressive appellation blend, sourcing from the proprietor’s Bob’s Ranch as well as Gap’s Crown Vineyard and others. Earthy compost and forested tea gird a full-bodied concentrated experience highlighted in dried cranberry, raspberry and rhubarb, a leathery hint of sarsaparilla adding creaminess.

Vibrant ruby red in color, La Brisa Pinot Noir opens with hints of earth, crushed violet, and red fruits laced with a ‘sauvage’ character. Intense flavors of crushed raspberry, cola, freshly turned soil, and tobacco linger on the palate. The texture is rich and leads into a warm finish with balanced oak and fresh minerality.

Wine Facts

The 2015 growing season delivered another great vintage. A mild winter with a dry, warm March caused early bud break. Colder temperatures and light rain in late spring stunted cluster development which ultimately led to smaller grape clusters and berries. Summer temperatures were mild and ripening progressed slowly and steadily with intense flavors developing early. This vintage exhibits concentrated aromatics and deep color.
