Sourcing fruit from some of the absolute finest vineyard sites on the West Coast, we are thrilled to craft this incredible portfolio of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Knowing that great wine starts in the vineyard, we work that much harder with every minute detail to be exacting and honest, intervening as little as possible. Every decision we make intends to preserve the genuine, focused character of the vineyard. We seek out vineyards in cool climates with low-vigor hillside sites that produce elegant, opulent, supple and silky wines. The grower is a critical element of the winemaking process. Each vineyard owner must possess an optimal site, infrastructure and a true passion for quality and we have enormous respect for our extended family of wine growers.
We believe in hand sorting every berry; pressing Chardonnay as whole clusters; allowing native yeast fermentation; encouraging a long malolactic fermentation with weekly batonnage and topping off; barrel aging on lees to create more texture, richness, and complexity; and never fining or filtering. Holding true to these methods means there is no room for error or shortcuts, but the reward is a complex, expressive, complete wine.
