2010 WALT "Rita's Crown" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Dick Shea is a pioneering winegrower in Willamette Valley who has set an extremely high bar for fruit character and quality. We are honored to source fruit from this distinguished vineyard and realize the unrelenting challenges that Dick and his vineyard crew must face each year to deliver such beautifully ripened Pinot Noir.
The 2010 WALT “Shea Vineyard” Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is Oregon Pinot Noir at its most exquisite. With a late spring, a cool summer and challenging conditions during the harvest season, the Shea team managed to coax every bit of ripe expression from each cluster. The fruit has an energy and personality that is impossible to suppress. Beautiful dusty cherry fruit and crushed rose petal scents soar from the glass. A vibrant palate, laced with plum and spice are lifted by silky tannins and classic Oregon minerality. This wine will effortlessly age for seven years or more, though the primary character of the wine is at its peak now.
