2012 HALL Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon
Offering aromas of cola, crushed lavender, coriander, plum, black pepper and earth. The palate is dense with notes of graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit. This wine has an intensity that flows through the long finish.
Vintage after vintage, this Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by an interplay of elegance and concentration. The 2012 bottling is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Merlot fruit selected from a spectrum of vineyards — from our Sacrashe estate in Rutherford to St. Helena to Howell Mountain.
|Varietal Composition||75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot|
|Barrel Aging||22 Months in 80% New French Oak|
|Vineyard||Sacrache, Bergfeld and partner vineyards|
|Vintage Notes||"Dark and dense, this is sourced from the winery's own Sacrashe property in the hillsides of Rutherford, as well as Bergfeld Vineyard. The wine has a concentrated and jammy quality that doesn't step over the edge. It offers anise, blackberry, black currant and dried herb around a soft , rounded mouthfeel and long finish. Enjoy through 2026."|
