2014 HALL Craig's Red Wine
"This blends 65% Cabernet Sauvignon with 35% Merlot, the two playing well against each other to provide a broad soft expanse of decadent flavor. Cherry, plum, vanilla and well-integrated oak make it round and opulent, with a fleshiness that persists through a lengthy finish."
This wine opens with rich Bordeaux blend aromas of black plum with undertones of bay leaf and wet gravel. The palate reveals an outgoing personality of Cabernet tempered by Merlot with loads of ripe fruit, round, sweet tannins, and a full concentrated finish.
Craig’s was conceived by Craig Hall as an unconventional, appealing red blend to enjoy every day with family and friends. This wine is made in limited quantities and allows us to experiment with blending wine varieties and vineyard sources, playing up the most unique and captivating qualities of every vintage.

|Vintage Notes||The drought conditions helped contribute to an unusually early harvest in 2014. Substantial rain in early spring provided the vines enough hydration to sustain an otherwise dry summer. The entire season was early, from budbreak, to veraison, to harvest. Summer weather was perfect for the grapes, with no extremes or surprises. Fruit quality was exceptional, intensely aromatic and showcased great fruit character.|
