2014 HALL Jack's Masterpiece Cabernet Sauvignon
"Currants, cassis, liquid rock and hints of graphite are just some of the nuances here, and it hits the palate with a ripe, opulent, yet finesse-driven style that carries masses of fine tannin."

"Full-bodied, concentrated and laden with spiced black and blue fruit preserves flavors, the generous fruit is well supported by chewy tannins and an invigorating backbone, finishing with great persistence."
Our 2014 Jack’s is powerful and nuanced with effusive notes of blackberry, baking spice, wet rock and a hint of dustiness on the nose. The palate is concentrated, rich, opulent and full of deep berry flavor, with notes of graphite and spicy oak in the background. The intense and lengthy finish is laced with fine-grained tannin.
Each year, Hall’s former winemaker and current President, Mike Reynolds returns to his first love and blends a signature Cabernet Sauvignon known as “Jack’s Masterpiece.” The wine is named for the label artwork created by Mike’s then 18-month-old son Jack as a Father’s Day gift.

|Vintage Notes||The drought conditions helped contribute to an unusually early harvest in 2014. Substantial rain in early spring provided the vines enough hydration to sustain an otherwise dry summer. The entire season was early, from budbreak, to veraison, to harvest. Summer weather was perfect for the grapes, with no extremes or surprises. Fruit quality was exceptional, intensely aromatic and showcased great fruit character.|
