“Very deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bishop is a little youthfully mute and broody on the nose to begin, opening out to beautifully expressive spice scents of cinnamon, cloves, star anise and cumin seed with a core of warm blueberries, blackcurrant cordial and blackberry pie plus wafts of oolong tea and unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, rich and decadent, the palate explodes with spicy layers, framed by very firm, velvety tannins and a refreshing line, finishing on a long, lingering licorice note.” -- Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocatge

“Just heavenly juicy, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bishop is, as always, one of the richer, riper wines in the lineup, yet offers incredibly purity, balanced and precision. It gives up tons of black and blue fruits, scorched earth, licorice and graphite, huge richness, building tannin and a seamless, blockbuster finish. It's a tour de force that's going to knock it out of the park from bottle.” -- Jeb Dunnuck

“The 2015 vintage is a blend of Howell Mountain and Diamond Mountain fruit. The nose is deep and intoxicating with creme de cassis, Turkish coffee graphite and blackberry compote all mingling together in the glass. Once in the mouth, the silky teszxture marvelously coats the mid-palate. Black fruits dominate the mid-palate with coffee ground flavors and sweet pipe tobacco beautifully come together in the glass. Decadent and rich, this will age marvelously over the next three decades.” -- Owen Bargreen, International Wine Report
