2016 HALL Craig's Cabernet Sauvignon
"...Dark and plush on the palate, the Craig's Cuvée is another super-appealing wine in this range. Mocha, espresso, plum, lavender and sweet spice add to an impressive gravitas, but the ripe, plush tannins give the wine considerable immediacy."
Deep ruby in color, this wine has pronounced and inviting aromas of blackcurrant, brambly fruit, dark chocolate, pine and wild sage. The palate offers decadent layers of blackberry, black plum, eucalyptus and vanilla is balanced with refreshing acidity and ripe tannins.
Craig’s was conceived by Craig Hall as an unconventional, appealing red blend to enjoy every day with family and friends. This wine is made in limited quantities and allows us to experiment with blending wine varieties and vineyard sources, playing up the most unique and captivating qualities of every vintage.

|Vintage Notes||The 2016 vintage marked the end of the drought years, although precipitation levels were still moderate to low. Near-perfect growing conditions continued throughout the summer with a few heat spikes that the valley is known for. Yields were a bit lower than normal, but the quality of the harvest was high. The resulting wine is rich and lush, with supple tannins and opulent, elegant finishes. Wines from 2016 are a fifth consecutive vintage of stellar Napa Valley wines.|
