2016 WALT Bob's Ranch Pinot Noir 1.5L
"...The wine is deeply colored and begins with intense aromas of cherry cola, sassafras, black tea, Asian spice and wet soil and shows a wonderful mouthfeel and texture. A total stunner, with black fruits dominating and a cola character also shining brightly..."
93 Points | The Wine Advocate, Lisa Perotti-Brown
"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Pinot Noir Bob's Ranch opens with pronounced notes of blackberry preserves, blueberry pie and chocolate box with hints of anise, dried bay leaves and tilled black soil. Big, rich and full-bodied, the generously fruited palate is well-framed by velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and fruity."

"Deep, intense garnet in color, this wine displays powerful aromatics of wild berry, wet stone, ‘sauvage’, and hints of tobacco. Select heritage clones combine to bring intensity and layered flavor to the palate. Wild blueberry, 5-spice, crushed rock, and hints of truffle combine with firm, spicy oak structure to create a dynamic and focused palate. The finish is long and delicious." - Megan Gunderson Paredes, Winemaker

|Vintage Notes||The 2016 harvest was early, with slightly lower than normal yield, but exceptional fruit quality. After many years of drought, we experienced winter rains that helped alleviate the dry conditions that plagued us the prior four years. The entire ripening season enjoyed cooler than average days and nights. July and August were particularly temperate allowing for longer hang times, which ripened the grapes uniformly.|
