2017 HALL Coeur Cabernet Sauvignon
Review coming soon.
Deep purple in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon has a powerful nose of ripe, brambly fruit balanced with sweet oak. The wine has refreshing acidity and layers of dark blackberry, black plum and cherry. The finish is long and lively with ripe tannins.
In creating this blend, we realized the great potential of our vineyard sourcing within St. Helena. Unique for its gravelly, low vigor soils and a cooling influence of Pacific breezes from the north, the fruit from this region produces a stylistically lush, aromatic wine with a dense core of dark briary fruit.
|Varietal Composition||100% Cabernet Sauvignon|

|Vintage Notes||Our 2017 harvest wrapped up early fall following summer heat spurts and a growing season that saw significant rain throughout the state, ending a five-year drought. The season began with rainfall that refilled reservoirs and replenished soils. Harvest began early at a normal pace, and then progressed rapidly during a heat wave in late August and early September. Temperatures cooled mid-September, slowing the harvest pace and allowing grapes to ripen gradually. This is a strong quality vintage.|
