"Apple and pear pastry flavors are creamy and well-knit in this open-textured style that is seductively spiced. Light buttery notes fill the finish, which features hints of dried tarragon."

Medium yellow with a fresh, green tinge. Heady aromatics of citrus blossom and warm apple tart. The palate is nuanced, full flavored, and beautifully balanced with a touch of barrel structure. Lemon curd and cream flavors on the palate lead to a long and vibrant finish.

The Sangiacomo Vineyard is a certified sustainable vineyard, first planted in 1969. The block we source from is entirely "Old Wente" field selection. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay makes this site ideal for growing Chardonnay. Older vines produce small clusters that drive concentration and richness in the wine.

Vintage Notes | Following a series of warm, early harvests, this year’s growing season returned to a slower rhythm, allowing grapes to ripen gently with deep flavors. Our growers spent the summer and fall manicuring the vine canopies to provide the grapes enough shade from the sun while also preparing adequate airflow to deter mold. When Mother Nature did throw a couple of unpredictable systems at us, we were able to weather the storms and harvest exceptional fruit! |
