2019 Hall Terra Secca Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2019 Terra Secca opens with concentrated aromas of dark fruit, freshly turned earth, crushed gravel and beautifully integrated oak. The intense dark fruit flavor carries through along the palate culminating in a rich and unctuous, yet balanced mouthfeel. The finish is long and powerful, layered with nuanced flavors of dark berry and wet stone. This is a wine that will age gracefully for many years.

Inspired by our vineyard sources along the Soda Canyon corridor, this blend is crafted from vineyards with pronounced influences from the rocky, dry soils and hillside aspects. This translates into highly structured and dense wines. Due to low vigor growing conditions, the vines endure stress which manifests in the wine and is evidenced in the firm tannin and lengthy finish.

Vintage Notes | Our 2019 growing began with ample rainfall and lingering soil moisture. A warm, extended summer saw very few extreme heat events, with foggy mornings setting the stage for vibrant and expressive wines. The long, relatively mild finish to the season helped to preserve freshness and balance in the fruit with hang time that allowed for impressive color, structure and tannin. This is an exceptional vintage defined by well integrated acidity, dense texture, and great depth. |
