2020 WALT Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Critic Review
Juicy and vibrant, this has terrific purity to the lemon curd, yuzu and peach flavors, with a touch of salted butter. The finish features fresh herbal details of lemon verbena and ginger that linger.
90 Points | JEB DUNNUCK, Audrey Frick
"The 2020 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is floral with honeysuckle, fresh pear, and lemon pastry. The palate leads with sweet fruit of candied green apple, baking spice, and frangipane. It has a medium build and is fresh amid its more confectionary qualities."

Vintage Notes | The season started out with an unseasonably warm, dry winter. It wasn't until the end of March that cold, rainy weather arrived, and the mild spring gave the vines a strong, early start. Even with above normal temperatures throughout the summer and fall, we still experienced the marine influence that defines the limiting conditions of our premium vineyard sites - cool morning fog and afternoon wind. The resulting wine is irresistibly fresh, fruity and brimming with appeal. |
