Booking and Reservations
Do I need a reservation to visit HALL St. Helena?
Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcome at HALL St. Helena are by reservation. Book online at hallwines.com or call 707-967-2626.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Same-day availability is sometimes possible — call 707-967-2626 to check.
How far in advance should I book?
Three to give days is usually enough; four to six weeks for weekends between May and October, and during harvest in September and October.
What are your hours?
10:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Last tasting starts at 4:45 PM.
Are you open on holidays?
We are open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
How do I change or cancel a reservation?
We understand that plans change, and we are happy to assist with any modifications to your reservation; please contact us at 707-967-2626.
If I buy wine after a tasting, will my tasting be waived?
Tasting fees are not credited toward wine purchases. If you become a member during your visit, tasting fees may be refunded or partially credited depending on the experience enjoyed.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 24-hour advance cancellation is required to ensure a full refund.
Can I add guests to an existing reservation?
Yes, please contact us at 707-967-2626 to add guests to your reservation. Please note that each experience has a different number of maximum guests
Pricing
How much is a tasting at HALL St. Helena?
Experiences range from $45 to $200 per person. The Reflections of the Valley Bar Tasting is $45, The Signature Tour is $60, The Cabernet Collector Experience is $90, and the Platinum Tasting is $200.
Is the tasting fee waived if I buy wine?
The tasting fee is not waived for wine purchases.
Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are not included with your tasting fees.
Do members pay for tastings?
Members receive complimentary tastings for themselves and up to three guests for the Member’s Lounge tasting, the Reflections of the Valley tasting, and the Signature Tour.
Do you offer gift certificates for tasting experiences?
Gift certificates are not available for tasting experiences.

If you want a tour and the full story of the property, book the Signature Tour & Tasting. If you only want to taste, book The Reflections of the Valley. If you're a serious Cabernet drinker, book the Cabernet Collector Experience. If you want the rarest wines HALL makes, book the Platinum Tasting.
What is the Signature Tour?
Embark on a guided stroll through HALL’s vineyards and winemaking facilities, where you’ll discover our sustainable practices and rich history. Then, settle in for a seated tasting of four award-winning wines, each thoughtfully paired with three seasonal culinary bites that highlight and elevate the flavors of the wines. . $60 per person , up to eight guests, daily on the hour 10am–4pm
What is The Reflections of the Valley?
Savor a curated flight of award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons during this standing tasting at our modern bar, featuring stunning vineyard views in a relaxed, 45-minute experience ideal for guests on a tight schedule. $45 per guest Maximum of eight guests.
What is the Cabernet Collector Experience?
This exclusive tasting experience invites guests to explore the distinct expressions of Napa Valley’s premier mountain appellations through HALL’s top-rated Cabernet Sauvignons. The journey begins with an elegant Tsar Nicoulai Osetra Caviar and white wine pairing, then continues with a curated selection of our Appellation Cabernets thoughtfully paired with a chef-crafted small plate food accompaniment. $90 per guest.
What is the Platinum Experience?
The Platinum Tasting at HALL St. Helena is an intimate, seated experience showcasing the coveted Platinum Collection and top-rated Artisan Collection Cabernets. Each wine is paired with an elegant progression of six chef-curated seasonal small bites, including a decadent serving of Tsar Nicoulai Osetra Caviar. An experience designed to highlight the depth, complexity, and nuance of these exceptional wines. By appointment only. A 24-hour cancellation is requested to avoid a fee. $200 per guest. Maximum of four guests.

Does the Signature Tour of the winemaking facility?
Yes. The Signature Tour includes a tour of the production facility and covers HALL's approach to winemaking before the seated tasting.
How many wines will I taste?
The Signature Tour includes four wines.
Is there a tasting for non-drinkers or designated drivers?
We don't offer a non-alcoholic tasting flight. Designated drivers and non-drinking guests are welcome to join your party, and we have non-alcoholic beverages available.

How many people can join a standard tasting?

Can I bring a group of 12 to HALL St. Helena?
Yes, as a private tasting rather than a standard reservation. Each of our experiences can be booked as a private experience. There are also wine and food experiences available as private experiences. Prices and details vary, please call (707)-967-2626 for information.
What about a group larger than 14?
Larger groups are handled as custom private events at HALL St. Helena, which can manage groups up to 100, or at HALL Rutherford, which hosts seated cave dinners for 15 to 20 guests.
How far in advance do I need to book a group?
During the busy season, larger groups should book weeks to months in advance.
Do you work with wine tour operators and drivers?
Yes, we work with wine tour operators and drivers. There is no trade booking process.

Does HALL St. Helena host weddings?
No. HALL does not host weddings or wedding ceremonies.
What events does HALL St. Helena host?
Rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, engagement parties, anniversary dinners, post-wedding brunches, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations, across several indoor and outdoor spaces on the 33-acre property.

Is food served with the tastings?
The Members Lounge, Signature Tour, Cabernet Collector and Platinum experiences all have a food component. We also offer the following pairings for purchase to add on to any tasting. Ask your wine educator upon arrival.
Cabernet Chocolate Pairing | Handcrafted locally by Le Belge, these luxurious Cabernet-infused chocolates offer a rich finish to your HALL experience.
Artisan Cheese Pairing | A curated selection of artisan cheeses from award-winning California creameries, accompanied by seasonal fruit, nuts, and crackers.
Sonoma Charcuterie Pairing | Featuring handcrafted salumi from Journeyman Meat Company in Sonoma County, made using traditional Italian techniques.
Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing | The best of both worlds—artisan cheeses, Sonoma-made salumi, seasonal accompaniments, and crackers, thoughtfully selected to complement HALL wines.

Can we bring our own food or picnic on the grounds?
Guests are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy in our outside areas. There are lots of great spots to enjoy a picnic on our property.
Is there a restaurant on site?
There is not a restaurant on site, but our kitchen prepares and serves a variety of food pairings for purchase to add on to any tasting.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Dogs, Children, and Accessibility
Is HALL St. Helena dog-friendly?
Leashed dogs are welcome at HALL St Helena at our outside tasting areas. Service animals only are permitted on any of our seated indoor tastings and tours.
Are children allowed?
All seated tasting experiences are 21+. Children and under-21 guests are welcome in our outdoor spaces. Family friendly activities include scavenger hunts, silver bunny stickers, bunny coloring activity. Lemonade and popcorn are also available.

Where is HALL St. Helena?
401 S. St. Helena Highway, St. Helena, CA 94574 — on Highway 29, about 75 miles north of San Francisco and 20 minutes north of downtown Napa.

There is ample parking for personal vehicles, tour vans and buses, and limousines. There are also EV charging stations available for guests to use.

The Property
What is Bunny Foo-Foo?
Lawrence Argent's 35-foot stainless steel rabbit, installed at the entrance to HALL St. Helena and visible from Highway 29. It's one of more than 35 works of contemporary art on the property.
Can I see the art collection?
Yes, the art collection is available to view to all guests to the property. There is also a self-guided art tour app available to download.
What is the history of the property?
HALL St. Helena sits on the historic Bergfeld Vineyard, in production since 1885 — first as Bergfeld Winery, later as the Napa Valley Co-op, one of the valley's primary winemaking facilities through much of the last century.
Is the winery LEED certified?
Yes. The production facility is LEED Gold certified.
Practical
What should I wear?
Wear clothes that are comfortable and weather-appropriate. For experiences which include a tour, we recommend shoes that are comfortable to walk in.
What's the best time of year to visit?
Harvest Season (August - November) is the most popular time of year to visit. Winter is best for those looking to avoid crowds, and is generally easier to book hard-to-get reservations. Summers can be hot but Napa gets lots of visitors.
Are tastings indoors or outdoors?
Both, depending on availability at the time of your reservation.
Can I buy wine at the winery?
Yes.
Can you ship wine to my home?
HALL ships to all U.S. states except Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Utah.

How do I join the wine club?

Do members get a discount?
Yes — 15% on Napa Valley Collection wines, 10% discount on Winery Discount wines. Discounts increase with tenure, increasing up to 25% after three years of membership.
What is the Members Lounge?
A private space at HALL St. Helena, open seven days a week by prior appointment, 60–90 minutes, up to six guests. Complimentary for members and partners up to four guests, $60 per additional guest. Reservations booked under a non-member email will not be honored.
