2021 WALT Bob's Ranch Chardonnay
Critic Review
"This wine comes from a cooler site that sees a lot of fog during harvest. Stored in 35% new French oak, this offers serious weight and great underlying finesse. Cantaloupe and lemon curd flavors combine with shades of Japanese pear and nutty undertones. Gorgeous to consume now, this will only get better with age."
93 Points | Wine Enthusiast, Jim Gordon
"This dense, full-bodied and lavishly oaked wine goes all out for butter, vanilla, toasted coconut and cream flavors on a velvety texture that feels softly tannic from the oak influence. The wine is highly stylized and opulent."
92 Points | Wine Spectator, Mary Ann Worobiec
"Boasts buttery apple pastry as well as notes of salted caramel, dried pineapple, tangerine and lemon meringue, with a fresh, vibrant thread of acidity and hints of lemon blossoms on the finish."

Bob’s Ranch Vineyard is characterized by its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Coastal breezes along with low rolling hills and morning fog define this cool climate. This marine layer keeps the vineyard 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the Russian River. The terroir is mostly fine sandy loam soil that gives excellent drainage and leads to low vigor vines and small yields.
